Hyun Joong and Jung Min Ideal Type of Girl

In Inkigayo “Take 7″ magazine, SS501 Kim Hyun Joong, Park Jung Min & other artists revealed their ideal types. Kim Hyun Joong mentioned he was a bit nervous since he had not drawn for a long time. He said the first thing he notices about his ideal type is egg-shaped face and long hair. The appearance have to be cute and naive but also possess sexiness. Kim Hyun Joong is attracted to this type of girl. He said “innocent and attractiveness is my ideal type.” But after looking at his drawing of his ideal type, everyone burst out in laughters because the girl portrayed in the drawing does not look cute or attractive.

On the opposite, Park Jung Min gave a detailed description of his ideal type: posses “pretty collarbone, double eyelid, big eyes like deer, long brown straight hair. A girl that can converse with me and not fake so I can feel her natural beauty.”

TS Japan Official Booklet – Q&A 2010 Spring

I know you’ve seen Hyun Joong’s and Jung Min’s translated parts floating around… here’s the translation with all of the boys’ answers… yes, all five of them!

Note: Please don’t get leader wrong with regards to what he said about the lost wallet. The translation states that Leader said that Jung Min lost his (leader’s) wallet and that it’s very frustrating. Lois found the scanned images of the booklet and here’s what Leader actually said “홍콩에서 정민이가 현금 2,000만원이 든 지갑을 잃어버려서 속상해하였다” and the actual translation should be “Jung Min got upset in Hong Kong cause he had lost his wallet which contains 20million won in cash there.” Thanks for Lois for clearing that up!

Q&A 2010 SPRING (SS501)

Q1. How do you feel about the Budoukan concert?

Hyun Joong: I’m very happy that I’m able to fulfill one of the things that I wanted to do ever since entering Japan.
Young Saeng: Performing in the Budokan of great significance place, I feel honored.
Kyu Jong: Really step on a stage of my dream, I am very happy. Everyone cheered together and it is indeed a happy performance.
Jung Min: I was so glad cause all of us did a performance together after long time, and that was good we could be with so many fans. I want to do more performance in the future.
Hyung Jun: Performing in Japan Budokan’s performances have great significance. Finally achieved the target, I felt very happy. Will walk towards bigger and famous venue in the future with greater effort.

Q2. Having been to many countries for your Asia tour, give us an episode that happened in each country.

Hyun Joong: At Hong Kong, Jung Min lost Hyun Joong’s wallet which contain 20 million won. Frustrating.. (Read my note at the beginning of this blog post for the correction)
Young Saeng: Because we were performing outdoor for Asian Tour Shanghai station, it was very cold. Especially when we were wearing sleeveless clothes.
Kyu Jong: Thinking of playing water gun battle during the Encore.
Jung Min: Working together in Thailand with the workers to make new T-Shirts.
Hyung Jun: Because we were always in the hotel, interesting things……ㅠ-ㅠ NO!

Q3. Out of all the events, concerts held in Japan, which place left the most memorable memory?

Hyun Joong: Budoukan.
Young Saeng: International Center. Our very first performance.
Kyu Jong: International Center… … Budoukan… … all leave a very good impression
Jung Min: I remember all places. Nagoya – tebasaki (chicken) Sapporo – Mutton barbecue etc~

Q4. Of all the live concerts that you have seen, which artiste’s concert would you like to see again? Please also say how you feel at that time.

Hyun Joong: None. I would like to meet James Blunt.
Young Saeng: Rain. I have learneda lot of  Rain’s stage style, and while watching, had lots of fun.
Kyu Jong: Rain. Learned a lot, put them into the public performance after learning.

Hyun Joong: Jaksal Chicken… ㅋㅋㅋ
Young Saeng: Comics books… all of them.

Jung Min Hasn’t Signed Contract Yet

I’m sure you’ve already read all about the news that came out earlier about Jung Min signing an exclusive contract with Sony Taiwan. It isn’t true! I posted about it earlier but decided to remove the blog post since it is false and misleading, and also to avoid further confusion. Really, I can’t believe these people creating such rumors. I can’t imagine what’s in their heads! Instead of helping clear things up, they make things worse. It’s pretty tiring isn’t it?Just hang in there, pretty Triple S princesses! Fighting!

07/03 [news] SS501 Park Jung Min “Is in discussion with Sony Taiwan, but has not signed contract yet”

“Priority is agreement with the members.. Mutual agreement on SS501 activities”

With regards to news reports on SS501 member Park JungMin signed a contract with Sony Music Taiwan, Park JungMin’s representative said “This is not true.”

Park JungMin’s representative said to No cut news on 3-Jul through a telephone interview “The news report today on Park JungMin’s future (contract) is untrue. Even though it is true that they have some discussions about contracts with Sony Music Taiwan, but they have not officially signed on any contracts yet.”

The representative continued “Before signing the contract, the very first question is member’s agreement. The members have not been having sufficient conversations, especially for the case of HyungJun, who is very stressed because his very close friend Mr Park Yong Ha’s death. Question on Park JungMin’s future is also the question for the whole of SS501, therefore they must have ample discussions before they come into conclusion.”

He added “They must come into a conclusion on SS501’s continuality of activities such as album, concerts, etc before they consider the contracts. After they solve the problems such as those mentioned just now, they will then sign the contracts, and after they signed a contract, they will announce it officially.”

SS501’s contract has expired in early June with their current management company DSP Media. Leader Kim HyunJoong signed a contract with Bae YongJun’s company Key East, while the remaining members Park JungMin, Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong and Kim HyungJun have not decided on their future contract yet.

Jung Min left a message at SS501’s official website to clear things up with regards to the rumor that’s been spreading on the net about him signing an exclusive contract with Sony Taiwan. I’ve seen a couple more versions of the English translation floating around but this one by Ode is the easiest for me to comprehend. Still, I’ve read it again and again and again and I really don’t know what to say. But I’ll keep on believing!

Though I have been sending my greetings here often like this, I often wrote it then erased, wrote it then erased…
But in the end I’ve decided to do away with that thought!!
In this current situation like now, what if my entry causes a huge impact on my members..
I’d thought so like this, but no matter what, if I am to write something at least, it’d be good,
and so I am writing this piece today.

First of all!!
SS501’s album promotions this time round has had finally come to a close after Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards.
There were really many people who came to give support.
From Taiwan too, from HongKong too, even from Japan too~, and also from China~~ Our TripleS!!
If the five of us could do a stage together, it would have been really wonderful.. Thought of it like this.
Thank you for having gone down to give support and help~!
(I want to say thank you first.)

Let me begin to start talking with the conclusion,
about the contract issue of us SS501 members,
though of course, there are huge agency companies domestic and foreign waving their hands to us and that’s a fact,
but they’ve all been dismissed.

Also, right at this moment, up until now, I’m not signed on to any agency companies and not leaving for any places,
although there are many invitations coming from everywhere, I’ve not had replied to them as of now.
After discussing with our members then I’ll give a reply… That will be the circumstance where I’ll only give replies.

If I were to sign on to any contract, I will let all of you know officially.
(Before I make any contract signings, all our administration will be done under DSP..!)

Eum…Before this time’s promo activities ended, there were many meetings held together,
with each of our members, with bosses with managers, many discussions held together.
Though the 5 of us are supposed to discuss more amongst ourselves..!
We did so to the appropriate extend.
The future moves problems have of course doubtlessly became an issue on each of our side,
but for the sake of SS501’s future persisting activities and albums, concerts to be done with the name of SS501…
I’m referring to our future activities.
Because to have to be singers who must have events is a no-thankyou..!!

Though I still have much more to write…I’ll just write this much first.

결국 오늘 까지 와버렸네요!!
지금 상황에 괜히 나의 글이 멤버들에게 해가 되면 어쩌나..하고 있었는데,
아무래도 이야기를 하는게 좋을 것 같아서 오늘은 글을 씁니다.

일단!!
SS501의 이번 앨범 활동은 대만의 금곡상 이후로 마무리되었습니다.
정말 많은 분들이 와주셨어요.
대만에서도, 홍콩에서도, 일본에서도~,또 중국에서도~~우리 트리플에스!!
다섯명이 무대했으면 정말 좋았을텐데..라고 생각했습니다.
와주시고 응원해주셔서 감사했어요~!
(먼저, 감사하다는 말 하고 싶었어요.)

결론부터 말씀드리자면,
SS501로서 멤버 전원의 계약은

지금의 회사는 물론, 국내외의 대형기회사에서 제안이 있었던 것은 사실이지만,
모두 불발되었습니다.

그리고 저는 아직까지 아무 곳과 계약을 맺지 않고 있는 상태이며,
여러 곳에서 제안이있었지만 아직 대답하지 않았습니다.
멤버들과 상의후 대답하겠다…라고 까지 대답해 놓은 상태입니다.

계약을 맺는다면 여러분들께 정식으로 알려드리겠습니다.
(계약을 맺기전까지는 DSP에서 모든 관리를 해주고 있습니다..!)

음…이번 활동을 마무리하기전 회의들도 있었고,
각 멤버별, 사모님과의 면담 역시 있었습니다.
5명이 좀 더 많은 이야기를 나누어야겠지만..!
충분히 가능하며 해야하게하는 것.
거취문제는 물론 이제는 개인적인 문제임이 되어버린 것이 틀림없지만,
그에 앞서 SS501의 지속적인 활동을 위해서 SS501로서의 앨범과 콘서트등…의

Jung Min’s Black Shoulder Bag

I’m sure you’ve already seen photos of Jung Min at the airport on his way to Taiwan. Did you notice his bag? The black leather one? I want!!! Yeah, instead of setting aside money for my health savings account, I save to buy stuff I want. Haha! I don’t usually bring bags when I go out of the house but I love bags! But not the super expensive designer girly bags. I love bags that I could use for traveling. That’s the main reason why I buy bags. Haha! Anyways, Jung Min’s bag is actually designed by Song Hye Myung of Dominic’s Way, the same designer who designed the boys’ clothes for the Destination mini album. And check out the price… Price: 620,000 Won (approx. US$500). Whew! Wish I could afford that!

Destination Taiwan Ed Signature Cards & CF

Rumors Have Wings

I slept with a heavy heart last night and I didn’t sleep well. My sleep was bothered although I was very tired, physically and mentally, but I still hoped to wake up to some good news. I somehow did.

To those of you who still choose not to believe… read the following quote. I’m not sure if this is really true or not but the source said that it came from JungMin and I choose to believe.

Words that Mal had Personally Told TWTS

Mal and Baby had first signed with DSP.
It was only at the 5th anniversary
that the five learnt that DSP didn’t want to sign Kyu.
There’s no way SS501 could continue.

Hyun Joong requested that DSP sign with Kyu first before his signing the contract.
DSP refused.
Hyun Joong recommended that Kyu goes to YG.
……
So turned out everyone had to sign with different companies
and come next year,
the various companies to collaborate for them to release an album.

YS and Kyu are currently in Japan.
YS is negotiating the OST of some drama,
Kyu is in discussion with YG.

Mal had said this (same thing) to TS on the plane three times
that the five of them will release an album next year,
The reason why Hyun Joong signs with another company…
is to protect the other four, to protect SS501, and to protect the fans.
Coz DSP refused to sign with Kyu…
so Hyun Joong’s helping Kyu to sign with YG,
and Hyun Joong wanted DSP to sign with Kyu by threatening to sign with another agency.
Mal and Baby had initially thought everyone would be renewing their contracts,
so they had gone on ahead and signed first.

Mal further said…. they would be separated for this year…
but next year, they will continue to work together through different companies.

YS also said something like that….
that the five of them will continue on like this year after year…
the interpretation is that they would be working together again next year.
Coz so long as they’re missing just one member, that signifies the splitting up of SS501…
so Hyun Joong surfaced first to face everything.

After reading this, things started to make sense to me. Remember what the boys said during the Newton X-Concert? You can find the English translation here. Noticed how KyuJong told not to shoulder all the responsibilities alone and how maknae asked the fans to take care of KyuJong and to treasure him? Remember also that Kyu mentioned sometime ago that he’s having problems with their site, he can’t seem to access it? You can read it here (Liezle’s blog). Anyways, these are all just speculations but it really makes sense, right?

So, please, I ask you once again… don’t say anything more that’s going to hurt our dear leader Kim Hyun Joong. There’s a reason for his every step and decision, I’m pretty sure of this. We loved these guys not because of their charms, good looks and talent, we loved them for their personalities and their love for each other. So, please let us continue to love, support and trust in them. I know I sound like a broken record already but this is all we could do right now for them.
