My friend, however, is very happy with his amp. He’s already going to use it on their gig this coming weekend. I can’t wait!

I bought these bundles of jute strings and I use it in everything. I use it to decorate gift, I use it on my craft projects, and I also use it for photography. I love hanging stuff on it and then take a picture. This weekend, My mom and I will go shopping for some burlap curtains best selection. We usually but curtains made of pina fiber cloth but we’ll try the burlap this time. I’m going to buy a set for my room, too. I want the ones with embroidery… something like this

My mailbox is happy today because I received a bunch of postcards. Will scan and post them tomorrow. I need to do some errands first, one of which is to order a cd duplication at disc 2 day for my nephew’s birthday favor.

By the way, part of my spring cleaning and organizing is first, to move this blog to a new domain name… one that’s more fit to the theme of the blog. Second is to create a gallery where I will post all my collections.

I will also post how I organize my postcards and would love to get some other ideas, too. But first is the blog move…

Anyways, like what I said, I went to the post office and the mall. To the post office first to drop off some postcards. Here are a few of them:

I also inquired about the “air mail” option. Unfortunately, the P13 that I pay for the stamps or the metered stamp is already it. Sigh.

I also bought stamps. I do not collect stamps (not yet) but I want variety for the postcards I send out. I almost weren’t able to buy some because the lady at the post office was having doubts on whether or not she sold me some stamps before. She had to ask me twice before letting me in her office. Also, she did not show me all the stamps. The last I went there, she showed me two sets of stamps but this time she showed me just one. She told me those are the only stamps she has since the central post office still hasn’t sent her the new ones. Good thing the ones I was looking for were still available. Next time, I’ll go straight to the central post office and buy there.

After the post office, I headed to the mall. There was a vehicular accident right in front of the city hall and people were starting to gather around to see what happened. It involved a motorcycle and a jeepney (or a car? I’m not sure anymore.) I saw a bloody man on the road and the police were trying to help him up and walk. I couldn’t look no more so I headed to the jeepney stop. The traffic was heavy on the way to the mall. It was barely moving so I decided to just walk the last mile. What’s causing the traffic was another vehicular accident this time involving two cars and two jeepneys. They were blocking the whole road, hence, the heavy traffic.

My trip to the mall was good despite the two accidents I witnessed. Why? I was able to hoard buy postcards! I now make it a habit to buy 2-5 pieces of each kind so I’ll have stocks. Wanna see?

I also bought a couple more of the A5-sized clear book that I use to keep my postcards. I’ll show you a picture next time.

For example, I attended a concert on the first week of March and took a lot of photos. I love how the lighting makes the pictures look very interesting. I have this shot of one of the performers, say 3 shots with the same pose but different effects because of the lighting effects.

I’m actually thinking of making a set of postcards out of those pictures…. anyone interested in a 2PM (Korean group) postcard? ^^

I already contacted this paper company who made a series of cards with beautiful illustrations about my country and I requested if maybe they can release a postcard version, too. So far, nothing has happened. I’m also thinking of asking my fellow postcrossers if maybe we can have our own postcards printed. I know a couple of print brokers and will have to consult them first.

Another solution I have is to have my own postcards printed. Maybe I can make a couple of illustrations or have some of my photos printed as postcards. I’ve been thinking about this for some time now it’s just that I don’t really have the time right now to execute this idea. But I already have a few photos in mind.

I also plan to buy spare stamps to avoid staying longer at the post office sticking stamps. Not that it’s not fun but the queue at the post office is just unbearable with the sun scorching at you.Yes, it’s officially summer already here in the Philippines and it is hotter than ever! Whew!

On my way home, I plan to drop by the bookstore to get me more postcards. I just hope they have new ones. That’s my issue with my country, I think that the snail mail industry is at the brink of its death. I just hope that we snail mail swappers can help prevent it. Worse comes to worse, I’ll make my own postcards. ^^

How I wish I could give this baby a big hug! ^^

I love bears! I actually have a small collection of bears which I started when I was in college but I never got used to adding to it. But I’m thinking of reviving that collection even if little by little. Will post that collection here in my blog some time.

So, if you have any bears that you don’t want anymore of you wish to give up for adopt, I’m very much willing to take them and give them a new home!

I’m just thinking out loud here… will get back to postcard-related posts now…

What I can do is make a collection within a collection, right? Like group them into categories. Interesting, huh? Well, I don’t have that many postcards, yet, to group them into categories but I’ll let you know when I do. I also have a question to all postcard collectors… what do you do with your postcards? I mean, do you display them or how do you keep them? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
